Supply Problems in Europe?

Lone Gunman

Mongoose
Hello! I just recently started playing ACtA and SST and think they both are great games. The problem now is, that, as I live in Germany, it is hard to get models. As an example, I tried to order some Exo-Suits and Pak'ma'ra Urik'Hal Supermerchants at my local store. Several weeks have passed now and my store only got a message from his supplier, that these miniatures aren't presently available in Germany and that they are waiting for their restock. It was also mentioned that the new Juyaka DN won't be available in Germany at all.

So, what's wrong? Is it also so hard to get minis in other countries or do I simply have the bad luck to order the wrong items or decided to play the wrong games which are not supported here?

Maybe your store just has a bad supplier.
Lots of people in the UK Home of Mongoose, have problems getting new models, but some stores get them in way before the rest.

Dancing Dryad havent added anything new for months. They say they have problems with US suppliers, but some other websites get the new releases much more quickly

why are they using US suppliers? their are clearly reliable UK suppliers available?

sorry just re-read the e-mail and Dancing Dryad are having problems getting new stock because the UK distributor (there are two, sometimes three distributors depending on which range they are ordering) that they use is having problems with US suppliers. Some companies use a different distributor so get stock more quickly.

their was rumour of a metal shortage at the casting facility. Which would be worrying, as metal is kinda an important thing you should be keeping on top of ;-)

The trouble is that there really is only one supplier in germany as far as I know - since I´m running a little online shop myself and plan on adding ACTA to it soon, I´ve already had some troubles getting my hands on the new stuff (including the Urik´Hal and the Nolo´Tar).

restock is coming every now and then; it just never seems to be enough to satisfy the demand...

With all the shortages, could be ages before the new Drahk Mo-ship sees the light of Hif- uh- day, sees the light of day.

Sorry but the supplier here coud only supply if MGP is delivering the Ordered Stuff.

MGP makes PR but for what when they don´t deliver to Germany.

In my town are two gaming shops and both quit selling MGP because the poor support.

And when even in the UK the support isn´t working then MGP shoud think over theire Politics

My LGS here in Heidelberg seems to have no trouble getting stuff. I got the box set special ordered and it came very quickly. Also, they usually have some stuff on hand. Helps that both the owner and his assistant play the game I suppose.

i guess the main problem is really with the new stuff which everyone wants as soon as it gets out - older ships ant supplements/boxes are usually not hard to get/restock. Sometimes there´s a little waiting time when a ship needs to get reproduced (IIRC, the Halik was such a case a while back), but then that´s a problem you can have with every company.

we here in Hamburg order directliy from mongoose.

Maybe we should combien our orders or you'll have to
get a credit card to try for yourself.

I wonder why the LGSs do not go through Mongoose when the distributors are slow, at least to get a customer or two there orders.

Why should they order directly when they can expect that the delivery will take as long as when order from a distributor?
What was available of my ships arrived very fast, mostly not even one week. So, I don't think that it is the fault of the distributor if they don't receive a restock and see no reason why to order through the online shop. For me, it would be sufficient if they got more of their ordered minis and it would be fine. But as is seems this isn't the case and I wonder why.

Hi guys,

Might be able to answer a few things here.

We now only sell CTA models to a very select number of distributors. In a nutshell, we were simply unable to keep up with the demand, and our own mail orders were suffering - which wasn't good.

Mail orders now take priority over everything else in terms of production, followed by said distributors. In this way, we can guarantee supply.

This was a problem often faced by my LGS back in the states. I had ordered a special order Warhammer 40K package at the same time as same time as some generally available stuff and got the special order first. In fact, the generally available stuff took forever. I guess it is just what the distributor has on hand and what and when they re-order.
