Mongoose "Stop taking peoples money you haven't got the Stock."
I will continue this thread until Mongoose stop taking money for items they can't supply within a reasonable time period.
Please support this post if you agree that its unreasonable to do so.
 
I also think that Mongoose should make good on mis-cast models. Or at the very least send you the miniature after you send yours back to them for replacement.
 
Yeah, Mongoose has always replaced miscast or missing parts from what I've seen as well. Granted I'd be happier if they weren't miscast or missing in the first place but Mongoose does replace them.

We always make free replacements for any products customers are not happy with. Without fail.

Well, first, we don't 'take' money from anyone.

Second, we will happily make full refunds whenever a customer wishes.

Additionally, we always make best efforts to keep all products in supply at all times. However, with over 2,000 different product codes it is inevitable that, from time to time, some will be temporarily out of stock.

Unless, of course, you are referring to pre-orders, in which case the web site will inform you that the product is not currently available.
 
Jay, again, at last you get your mails answered. I'm still sending one email a week just to know what's going on and i have had not even a single answer yet.

I generally use two email adresses, and a common mistake i make i to order with the one not linked to my paypal account, wich has already fooled a store once (they noticed a payment, but no order associated to it, they told me, i told them that it was order number XXXXXX, linked to email YYYYYY and everything was fine). All that to say that this monday, it'll be a month since i payed my order and that i have had NO NEWS since then.

I send the same mail from both my adresses to sales@mon..... and msprange@mon......, i hope that this time at least one of them will get an answer, so we can work something out.
 
I had a replacement within a week of sending a miscast Vorchan back to meet the Great Maker. I got an entire Vorchan blister, too, not just the miscast part. Couldn't use the vertical wing because THAT was miscast, but I got by with the old one... :lol:
 
the thing that troubles me the most is the silence i face.

One to two mails a week, at first to the general adress, now directly to matt, from both my email adresses, I participate in two threads in the forum and I can't even have an answer of any kind. I don't even know if my order has been taken into account. on the other side, my Paypal account functionned perfectly...

that's very curious and this is beginning to become VERY frustrating. What'll have to do ? Spam the forum ? Spam every email adress at Mongoose ? I'd prefer not to do this but, as i paid for my order, i think i deserve to know what's going on...
 
Strange, my experience has been very good my orders have all arrived in a matter of days. If the odd piece has been missed they're replaced it right away. In the last month I've made three orders and the service has been great each time.

PS with regard to miscasts, when I made my last order I asked for a Nova and was told that the ones they had in stock were slightly miscast, but it wouldn't be noticable once the guns were attached, I was offered this model or I could wait for the next delivery. As I said excellent service.

Original point of my post, is that Mongoose should update there online store to reflect the fact that they don't have the items in stock.

Instead of doing so, heres an example of what i've had to deal with:
March 6 i ordered 20 Large Metal bases/stems.
March 13 package arrives with only 1 Metal base!.
I contact Mongoose and get a reply on March 15, apologising for the error. Then i'm told there are no more in stock currently.However Ed has managed to find 10 laying around and do i want those until stock arrives. I agree.
A week later the package arrives. I open it to find 10 Large Metal Bases. But No Stems!.
So i put the Metal bases aside for the moment and come back to them a week or two later. On closer examination i find that all of the Bases are defective. None will hold a stand. It just tilts off the base. Some of the holes on the bases are off center too.
Even the 2 metal stems i did receive are defective too with 3 problems.
So i've sent an email today, i'll take the plastic large bases/stems instead since my patience is up, 5 weeks after the initial order.

I've got a broken up Victory (again) cause it came off the defective metal stand i used.
Consequence: i'm no longer gonna buy any Large Mongoose ships, since the Victorys have been nothing but a pain in the a**. The Metal base was my last attempt on the Victorys after repeated broken stems.
Now this could have all been avoided simply by updating the online store to reflect the fact that you haven't got the stock.
I'm making these comments constructively, i just want Mongoose to do better.
An unforgiving customer would have ditched this game! :?

And before people start telling me how easy it was to base their Victory let me be clear.
I'm a hopeless fool, my modelling skills are awful, even with pin vice,green stuff and all the good intentions in the world i couldn't get my Victorys based.
So you got yours based? Good for you.
What about us hopeless cases?
We're not all great at modelling, :(
 
must have definately been defetive metal stands, as my metal stand can hold an adira by itself (although i have a 2nd one for just in case but its never been needed when I have forgotten it) and the adira weighs alot more.

Unless you were the chap I was dealing with today, I haven't seen any such mail - PM me via these forums with your details, and I'll see what I can do.
 
Im waiting For my Mage ships, 2 B5 books (Ok i can understand the printing issues tho i have asked one of the mail order team once a week and now nolonger getting a responce)

Jay your stems and base should be with you sometime soon
