Supplementary PDFs for previous edition products?

Hi,

I noticed the supplementary files for Paranoia XP products seem to have vanished from Mongoose's website. Are they hidden somewhere, or were they really removed?

If they were removed, please bring them back. I doubt there's lack of space on the server, and it's a sign of really bad product support to pretend the previous products with their errata/etc don't even exist after a new edition comes out. Besides, the related modules are still available for purchase, e.g. as part of the Black Missions limited edition.

While on that note, how about finally releasing the “free bonus material” promised in WMD? The paragraph in that module gives the impression that the stuff was already done but just cut for lack of space, so what gives?

This past summer I finally finally got around to producing the bonus .PDF for WMD. I was spurred out of lethargy at last by the Troubleshooter Black Missions limited-edition CD-ROM, which includes a .PDF of WMD together with most of the rest of the 2004 edition's support line. I believe the bonus .PDF was posted on the Mongoose site for about two days before it and all the other bonus .PDFs were removed.

That's possible. As the PARANOIA licensee, Mongoose would have to grant permission, and I'd probably want to check to make sure with the owners (Eric Goldberg and Greg Costikyan). I should ask.

Usually the files are still there, just the links have been removed, the trick is to know the file names.

You are right, the old files are still there. Now, anybody happen to catch the file name of the WMD PDF? (Shouldn't be a problem posting that, since it's on Mongoose's own server, etc.)

I don't know the filename they used in posting the .PDF, and I'd prefer not to guess.

Seriously, could someone from Mongoose please post the URL to the WMD PDF? We've been waiting a long time for the extras advertised throughout the book, and it seems ridiculous (albeit quite Alpha Complexey) to know it's now on the server but no-one knows where…

And yes, the WMD pdfs finally appearing for a matter of hours before vanishing - and still technically being freely available, just with no links to it - is very Paranoia. But we're here to talk about and appreciate the game, not forum roleplay it, so pretty please Mongoose with a cherry on top, give us the link?

Rejoice, citizens. Matthew Sprange and the owners of PARANOIA have kindly granted me permission to post the WMD bonus material .PDF as a free download on the leading fan site, Paranoia-Live.net. Those of ULTRAVIOLET Clearance (as in, approved to participate in the GM Meeting Room forum) can download the .PDF free from the topic WMD .PDF - now with extra pixels! If you haven't yet joined the P-L.net forums, take a treason point and wait patiently; I have asked the admins to move the topic to a lowly RED-Clearance forum, and I imagine they will comply quickly.

I don't surpose anyone knows what happened to the old forms pack. It used to be freely available to download along with the props packs for the flashback books and loads of otehr stuff.

Here ya go. I had all that stuff in a folder, so just zipped it up (well, RAR'd it, actually) and upped it to Megaupload. Just follow the link to download it. There's no waiting, and it's a direct download, but they do have you type in a code to make sure you're a human and no some bot. No biggie.

Anywho, I'm fairly sure it's all there, but if you spot anything missing, just let me know, and I'll dig out my discs and correct the oversight.

Nopers, that file is in there. I didn't bother renaming things, so it's all still like it was from the original Mongoose download links. The file you're looking for is "parafbshadowmapsforms.pdf"

As the WMD supplemental pdf has disappeared from paranoia-live, and with megaupload now being defunct, could someone maybe upload the WMD file (or the whole archive of pdfs) to a server please? AFAIK, there is no place to download them from now.
