State of BE / SST?

Gang,

Was heavily involved in SST in the original release, was an MI, suffered wailing and gnashing of teeth attacks as the game imploded and exploded and most of the people I knew quit, after lots of hard work gathering people interested. Now it seems that it is making a comback as a Battlefield Evo supplement. However, it's hard to tell since apparently the entire forum for it has disappeared.

Inquiring minds want to know if BE is going to be a relatively seemless journey for WWII, 'Nam, Modern Combat (helloooo "Black Hawk Down"), near-future sci-fi (zombies??) and far-future sci-fi (return to SST I guess).

While I did read some of the stickied threads on "State of the Mongoose", I'd like to get a brief summary of what is officially happening and what player's experiences are of the new BE and its supplements. One pal of mine got the WWII game, we're interested in what else is happening.

I can only speak "officially" for my planned A.D.Publishing Logo License books.
The German Vehicle Compendium is out, together with the free Rules Add On and
the affordable priced (0.50 $) Quick Reference and Trait sheet.
Just check my signature links.

The Soviet Vehicle Compendium very close to completion, we expect the end of December.
The follow up books on British and Commonwealth Vehicles and the US book are already written,
reviewed and tested, they just need to be edited and the layout has to be done.

The Chinese Army Compendium in cluding several army lists and vehicles covering the whole Sino-Japanese
war is 90 % done and will compliment the Mongoose Pacific War supplement also written by me very nicely.

As far as I know (and Matt has told on the forum) the Pac War book is planned for March:

Matt has also the Air Power book done and Special Ops for Modern Combat was also mentioned.

From my point of view the future of Battlefield Evolution looks very bright!

I bet Mongoose try a Fantasy miniautes line sometime in future. There also planning a space combat game with miniatures to replace B5. Home-made. :shock:
