Starships as Aircaft

Hi,

I like the analogies. I could see the Type R being kind of like a futuristic space faring C-130 or the Type T being like a long range patrol plane, (though it would mean that some of these aircraft-like vessel is carrying smaller helicopter-like vessels.) Anyway, its an interesting, different perspective on things.

I don't know the effort to make it Air-whatever seems like a over-reaction to the navel model.

It that star/space ship probably have terminology that is all their own.

Bridge = Flight Deck = Operations = Control = Helm, adnuaseum.

I whole heartedly agree with the removal of the Navel ship designations in that even the modern navy is working hard to remove them.
