Defensive weapons would be your laser turrets. Offensive weapons would be Missile turrets and bay weapons. Should be able to map them over fairly easily.

Sorry, should have said "defenses". What I meant was I don't know what kinds of weapons starships have in Starship Troopers. They have to have them, don't they? (If not, then yes, I think importing Traveller's weapons makes perfect sense).
 
Oh, well, if the StarShip Troopers game from Mongoose doesn't specify, we could just use the default Traveller stuff.

I haven't played Starship Troopers, but I understand that it is much more about the ground combat and very little is about the ships. I expect MERCENARIES will be where ST can be shoehorned in. The ST book that Mongoose has said they will produce will probably be more of a setting book than a rules book to address bugs, skinnies and the like.
