STARGATE EVO -S : maybe my next project

I had already thought of doing SG battles with existing BFE stuff when it is available to me. It would be great to do some of the big fights even without the 'primary characters'.

For more tips you might check out the forums at the AEG SG site. There have been many discussions on Jaffa equipment over the last few years.

If anyone in the UK hears of a US distribution deal on the Phoenix stuff please post it! I occasionally order from across the pond but have encounter some problems with Royal Post mixups.

Ah excellent. Ive got quite few of the old Eureka minis 'sci fi egytians' but would love to be able to expand on that as needed :) Also would be great if they did some more minis of SG Teams etc in the same scale and maybe atlantis ones too (would be very handy for the rpg :))

I believe that it is "zat" (short for Zat'nikit'el) and a third shot disintegrates!

Makes you wonder why they use the big staff things...

With a zat you have a much more compact weapon which puts your opponent down for sure and you can finish him off later if neccessary (makes cleaning up afterwards easier as well...). Although thats a question how long do you have to wait before being shot a second time ceases to be fatal? :?

Not sure whether Asgard would really be involved, don't imagine they like ground combat much being a dying race (Hell most of their ships only have one crew member...).

I thought i was moving house before christmas, so my rpg book of stargate is in lockup, Funny i had it on ebay for abour 4.99, no takers..!!!

I will work on the rules in the next few days, based on evo-s system, but all you so is remove the ACC /TRA stats, and forget about the new suppression and command ideas, its then all the same stuff.

Anybody with links to Jaffa armour and weapons please, and other SG1 stuff...

I have ideas for 3 types of tech levels, and soldier / scientist / engineer classes for the game with different abilites etc..

I had some great ideas for jaffa, which i have put pen to paper, and hope to do a word doc very soon for people, at the moment i`m waiting to find out if my house is sold and contact signed at the 11 hour, or i`m 7 days away from being bankrupt...!!!!

If their they was a stargate, i use it right now...!!!

Honour Guard armour, is the extra armour the head unit, oe do they have more on the body as well...?

the Jaffa from Pheonix Icons are apparently a little small for "28mm". they'd probably fit right in with BF-evo stuff. A fellow on teh Miniatures Page did a short review of the ones he got.
 
Quick update i have copied the evo-s system over to stargate, grabbed a logo, and the basic rules are on word as i speak.
I`m not putting together a class template and some basic uncombat skilld for the rpg parts of it, and then move onto the Jaffa.

Once that is done i can post them on the websites etc...

Once feedback is good, i will move on to the dealth gliders etc, and other support units.....

No time today, i`m off to play my first game of VAS...
