Starfleet - Special Action Counters

Hi,

Are there going to be special action counters in the rulebook that we can reproduce OR are special action counters going to be for sale?

I am with the Admiral on this one. Before I run out to Litko and order a bunch of custom tokens does Mongoose have any plans to make and sell Tokens. Or for that matter ADB a long time ago had a Set of Empire Faction Dice. Basically a Pair of 6siders in the Empire's primary color with the #1 pip replace with either the Empier's Symbol or the Outline of thier Heavy Cruiser. Any chance something like this may be made up in the future?

Even if mongoose or ADB are not going to do counters, it would be great if litko could do it for them and package it as a standard item.

There was never a set from Mongoose for ACTA before, although Gale Force 9 made a set (which was never updated for 2nd Edition B5:ACTA). Wouldn't surprise me at all if Litko brought out a set if the game's even half as popular as I think it'll be, however it's easy enough to run off a bunch of them on Word or the like. Commercial sets can get a bit expensive when you might need over a dozen multiples each of the most common SA (and other) markers to support larger games or "swarm fleets".

Coincidentally, I downloaded a Trek font this morning to modify the B5 set I made for ACTA:SF. And no, I'm not going to translate a set into Klingon

Well if people are interested in getting counters for Litko we can always discuss between us forumites what would be the best way to do them and then Litko would probably just use that to come up with a generic set. I know they did a similar thing with Naval Thunder.

I agree that you can just do up counters and print them off. I however prefer to laser cut plastic - more durable and much easier to pick up.
