SST:WOTS Questions

Paladin

Mongoose
1. Will reactions be done per model as in SST or per squad as BF:Evo?
2. Will there be 1 Reaction per turn or unlimited?
3. Will the out of ammo rules of SST still exist in their current form? Will tracking ammo come into play at all beyond single shot weapons?
4. Will the purchasable traits still exist?

Some of that is covered here:

Entry for 02/12/07 (That's 12/02/07 for us in the US)

Can we please get rid of the need to use a Ready action to load UGLs before shooting and just switch to Pack status of 1 shot per round and no reactions?

I'm fine with the grenades as is. If they weren't a ready weapon, the MI would never fire their Moritas. They'd just fire Bugshot on the jump..all the time.

YMMV, but I've found that Bugshot rounds get used more when shooting at tunnel entrances and approaching tunnel markers. If you're needing them against a big bug that's already within the 10" range you're as good as dead unless there's a juicier target nearby for that Tanker.

Well, the Bugshot is more powerful so needs the balance of being Ready - plus, we see it as an emergency weapon more than anythng else.

As for the Pack weapons, you have your wish - they are now Slow weapons, which can only be used once per turn and (at the moment) cannot react.

Case in point they were hunting a tanker. :D

Sooo...just like how they were previously?

After redoing the math on the % difference it is greater than I thought. I did D6+1 in the comparison the first time (even though we played with D6+2), must have had BF:Evo on the brain. Due to the larger margin of success I can see the need for the Ready Action on the Bug Shot grenade for game balance. However, I'll be swithing to Flechette grenades for future Demos to avoid confusing/explaining it to first time players.
