Squadrons opening Jump Points

Mongoose
If I have a squadron of 4 ships in Hyperspace; when its their turn to do something, can I opt for them all to Open Jump Points thereby giving me 4 options as to where a Jump Marker gets placed?
It would certainly help keep my opponent guessing as to where my ships are going to be appearing from... 8)

as long as they all have jump engines then yes. of course as soon as ship a passes through JP B, JP A closes and so on.

That would be true but if he moved all the ships onto the board at the same time since they all move together all the jump points would close at the same time so would be to late for the enemy to really do anything about it.

ps i have yet to read the current squadron rules lol so if they have changed since last time I have read them just ingore me lol.

They don't all move at the same time; just in the same ship activation. So if ship A moved through ship B's jump point, ship B could not go through ship A's because it would have closed.

Why would you want to do that, I hear you ask... well if you could go through each othe's JP, both ships could CAF or peform anothe special action (assuming they have AJE).

incorrect in order to do the jump point one has to keep preforming that special acction each phase, though correct on the if shiip A goes through its own jump point it closes right after itself, but if one has the others go through since they are not going through there jump points and since all during the same activation one could leave the other points there till the end of that activation (for unless you move the wrong ship through it does not really matter since it all happens the same)

Nope, as soon as a ship goes through any JP, its own JP closes.

it may end up being a silly ruleslawyer thing, however when ship B moves through ship A's jump point it is no longer in hyperspace so it is impossible for it to keep it's own jumpoint open. as to open a jumpoint and keep it open from hyperspace, you have to BE in hyperspace.

But the crux of the matter is that 4 Jump Points are formed, the ships move through one, and they all close. If all ships come through Point A then ships B,C & D can still use Special Actions, ship A cannot... correct? 8)

Multiple JPB? Very ugly. Though, there is also the interesting problem of seeing four or so jump points open and not knowing in which direction you need to move. Very perplexing for some...
