Squadron UK (formerly Golden Heroes)

Brass Jester

Mongoose
One of my favourite superhero games from the 80's. Still play it a lot now. GH name is held by Games Workshop so Simon Burley ( co-author) has renamed it Squadron UK.

good game - had an excellent system for dealing with what the hero did when not in a scenario - which impacted the public perception of them

Definitely yes !!! I've played a lot of superhero role playing games, and Golden Heroes in the most fun. Very tactical, and in the same time sufficiently detailed.

The random character generation makes really cool characters, provided you have a good imagination ! Some powers are difficult to match with others !

That's ironic, Golden Heroes was illustrated by 2300AD artists, like Alan Davis and Brian Bolland at the time. Considering their involvement with Rebellion, if Mongoose was to publish another version of this classical game, il would feel right at home !

A fave of mine too... Tried them all : Marvel, DC, Champions, M&M, etc but Golden Heroes is the one I always return to

Would love to see a nice Hardbacked edition of it *drool*
