Spider drones, uses, and creation

Ok, so I was looking round the GZG online store and I found these:

While considering a merc game I thought they might be useful, both as adversaries and as allies for the team
(Imagine how many you could carry in a vehicle....)
Now, I was pondering what uses they could have, other than as defensive guns and recon.
Also, could you create them using the Main book, or would I have to get hold of the robots book (If that's out anytime soon/is out.)

Book 9: Robot is scheduled for release this month. Depends on just what you want to create if it would be useful or not.

Book 2: High Guard covers the creation of small craft drones, though these may be bigger then what you are looking for.

Robots and Drones coverage on pg 94~96 gives you enough to creatively make your own - though it is not a dedicated design system.

The combat mechanics has some support for drones (pg 67) under the Vehicles treatment section.

(Personally I use my own ad-hoc system... whatever works!)
