Space Combat

That means I actually got it right on the night, thanks Neo, I was hoping I was not going to have to put the players through a third space battle just to teach them what the real rules were...

My pleasure Martin, glad I could be of assistance. ;)

the only problem now with ships shooting at each other is that capitol ships generally fall into the he who shoots first isnt incinerated,

The Cenaturi Primus for instance, against snother capital ship like a G'Quan, Omega etc etc, if it fires and hits with more than 2 battlelasers it wins as the other ship is utterly wrecked

I dont disagree, there is certainly a point where offence ratings start to fall into the one shot//kill range.. but if nothing else that is fairly close to how combat go in the series, there arent any drawn out confrontations between two individual vessels, almost all of the time they show one volley is enough to take out or disable even the biggest of ships. Plenty of instances where that is seen in the series and movies. But from an RPG standpoint thats where it is important to ensure vessels make use of orders, dont travel alone where possible and take advantage of the fact they are more likely to be disabled rather than blown up outright.

m1b1us is it still possible to get a copy of the pdf document you made?

The link here does not seem to be working.
