Sorcery Spells for Courtly Intrigues

I had a Krarshti Courtesan/Assassin NPC who traded for Erotocomatose Lucidity and had Acid Touch (I think that's what it was called in RQ3), she cast both spells at an opportune moment and just waited for the victim to dissolve in her arms..
So she ends up covered in wet, yucky, highly corrosive human goo? Why couldn't she have just poisoned his drink?

Where would she have hidden the poison?

Venom spell.

Otherwise ... (casts measured eye around priestess) er, rings, pendant, earrings, navel jewel, toe rings, behind cups, in gusset, concealed in her hair ... and maybe that big bottle marked POISON - PLEASE IGNORE daintily positioned on the table over there.

Because, really, when there's a half-naked CHA 18 temple priestess in the room, what else would one notice there?

Would it be okay for me to write up an alternative Sorcery mechanic for the game and present it to Mongoose, one perhaps better suited to this theme than the one from the Core Rulebook? If it's got a low enough word count, if and when they reboot S&P it might even grace their pages.
