Okay, I hate to say it, but I keep hearing a lot of ugly rumors about units with limited ammo. Now, for a realistic sense, that sounds like a great idea. However, in the world of battlefield evo, it brings some very interesting issues to light.
1) the game rarely lasts 8 turns, so limited ammo can be an issue, but most likely will rarely be an issue.
2) counters and keeping track. We already need stuff for supression, reaction, out of command, etc. Is it necessary to keep track of the SAM missles a Tunguska has? (I think after firing 8 missles, either the air threat will be gone, or the Tunguska will be popped). I am guessing after reading the tunguska that air units will have limited ammo most likely, which may in fact complicate the game more that not with a myriad of counters needed. As for ground units, I don't want to see them based, but some sort of disk included with the model would be nice because that would cut down on a cluttered game table. (doesn't have to be fancy, but just a circular click disk, perhaps with the model name and the Battlefield Evo logo, so it could be matched with its respective unit)
Okay, now, for the quick fix. If you want to limit ammo, it would be great if air units had disks on the feet of their bases that could spin to keep track of what the model has left. heck, even if Mongoose doesn't do it, I bet some third party company could come up with something. I am just looking for ways to cut down on the clutter that I already have to place on my gaming table to track all my units (and i am specifically concerned for when our battles cross the 3K mark and knowing who reacted, who has supression, etc really will be harder to track w/o counters).
