Given the amount of difficulty that Hiff has had generating enough interest for his tourney (and the problems I had last time) its not high on my list to look at organising at present..............

Not to say that we could not have a few club events but larger events would need to be attended by enough people to make the time and cost worthwhile.

Understood, I suppose it makes sense that events need to be attended to be worthwhile.

If we do have some 'within club' type events I could always use any new rules/ship changes I make for my new Dilgar with everyones consent! Possibly make them worthwhile playing...

! the Dilgar are already worth playing, seriously, Last time I encountered them i admit i whooped em, but that was thanks to 22 hits with a 6 dice beam on his warship, even then, I really struggled to take him down

I would like to make some new ships though - theres a fanfic I've been reading about the Dilgar War which is absolutely phenomenal and it makes reference to dedicated missile ships armed with anti-ship missiles. I was thinking I could convert/make an optional variation which could be used of an Omelos or something and remove all its weapons exceopt for its missiles, give it more missiles and maybe make one lot precise or something. Such a ship would be really useful as a long range weapons platform? What do people think?

Charles has done a nice Dilgar list for his Darkness Rising universe, you may also want to check that out...
From the Dilgar War novel, the ramming ships were pretty good too!

What ramming ships? They were all ramming ships! Maybe it should be a special rule that the Dilgar can ram whenever they want to because they don't give a damn whether they live or die as long as they kill the enemy?

Should be available soon :D

Cool more Dilgarness!

I was thinking about making my own background as well for my fleet - a very similiar thing to the 'Ghosts of Omelos' idea with a fleet or warships having been off doing something when the sun went nova.

I did however think that this could be a 'spectre' fleet...painted in black or dark colours, maybe with a very limited stealth capacity and some modified weapons considering they have to scrounge/steal and develop.

I also want to maybe cut off some of the spikey bits or model them differently.

An idea I had for retaining the Dilgar in the modern universe was to put them in a stasis pocket in hyperspace, similar to the one that the Vorlons were using during one of the episodes (LBH - Answer please!)

They would then suddenly appear, raise merry hell and disappear back into the pocket!

A bit like English tourists on the Costa!

Okay, chaps, set May 9-10 aside for the camapign weekend. We'll have some details on what is going on shortly!

Yep - I should be there with my Narn, although hopefully it won't be the last they're let out to eat Chandler's fleet for breakfast! :-)

As this may be the last ACTA, will Mongoose be putting up some tasty prizes? ;-)

Matt's told us that they will be putting up stuff that only licencee's usually get their hands on? So there could definately be some interesting prizes.

My Minbari tend to ignore the Narn as they are little more than savages Digger :)
