Here is a one level "flavor" class for slavers.

THE SLAVER

BAB: +0

Parry/Dodge/Magic: +0

Saves: Fort +0, Reflex +0, Will +2

HD: d10

Class Skills: Appraise, Bluff, Diplomacy, Gather Information,
Handle Animal, Intimidate, Knowledge (geography), Knowledge (Local), Knowledge (Nobility), Perform, Profession, Sense Motive, Spot, Survival, Use Rope.

Skill points: 8 + Int mod.

Weapons and Armor: Proficient in all simple
weapons, plus the sap, scourge, spiked chain,
whip. Proficient in light armor but not shields.

Class Abilities:
Appraise Slave (ex): The slaver receives a +4
competence bonus to his Appraise checks to
judge the worth of any creature as a potential
slave.

Break Slave (ex): Given two hours training
minimum per day, a slaver can break the will of a
captive over a thirty day period, less 1 day per
character level). The captive receives a Will save
with a DC equal to 10 + slaver's character level +
slaver's Cha mod + slaver's Intimidate modifier.
A slaver automatically succeeds at all Intimidate
checks against broken slaves (former captives).
A slaver can attempt to simultaneously break an
amount of captives equal to his character level.

Permanent Skills (ex): Appraise, Intimidate,
Sense Motive and Use Rope become class skills
regardless of your current class.

Terrifying Visage (ex): When holding a whip or
other item of punishment, the slaver receives a
+1 circumstance bonus to Intimidate checks
equal to their character level.

Why d10? Are they that tough? Don't they prey on the weak?

Also, aren't there plenty of soft, wealthy slavers more like Nobles... or should we call this class Slave Driver?

Just some constructive criticism! :)

Thanks. This is a port from d20 that I was toying with over on ENWorld some time ago, along with other one level "flavor" classes.

How about d8 HD?

Weapons And Armor: Proficient in all simple and martial weapons, the sap, bolas, net, scourge, whip, and (spiked) chain, plus light and medium armor and shields.

This is not the rich, fat slave lord so much as the guy who actually goes out and does their dirty work for them. Khawarisami (southern Turanians) have Slaver as a bonus Favoured Class and are the most infamous slavers in the world, despite the Hyrkanians inroads toward this title. That is because Khawarism is synonymous with slavers and make it a full time profession, whereas the Hyrkanian nomads only do so sporadically, as spoils from their raids. The Khawarsami actively scour the globe looking for slaves.

Khawarisami SubRacial Template (Hyrkanian/Turanian)

Khawarism is the slavery capital of the world (see Conan RPG, page 278, under Turan). It has an evil reputation, only enhanced by the many infamous slavers operating from it. Khawarisami slavers are not picky about whom to add to their coffles, and unless opposed by an obviously superior armed force, or proof that their targets are free citizens, they will conveniently "assume" the targets to be escaped slaves and attack to subdue... and enslave. Khawarisami trained slaves are considered the best (most ruthlessly) trained in the world, and thus the most submissive. If proof of their pedigree is provided at time of sale, such slaves can be sold for +20% of the base purchase price on page 150 of the Conan RPG.

+1 racial bonus to Bluff, Intimidate, Use Rope and Survival. Khawarisami are reknowned throughout the East for being deceitful slavers, sadistic bullies and wily caravaneers. This stacks with the geographical skill modifiers of the Hyrkanian/Turanian race.

+1 racial bonus to attack and damage rolls with whips.

Weapon Familiarity: Khawarisami can wield whips as though they were martial weapons, rather than exotic weapons.

Background Skills: Intimidate, Ride, Survival.

Favoured Class: Noble, Slaver or Soldier.

Automatic Languages: Hyrkanian.

Prohibited Classes: Barbarian, Nomad, Pirate.
_______________________

Note: IMO, the civilized Turanians should have Favoured Class: Noble or Soldier, not Nomad. The Khawarisami are equally civilized.

The class is interesting as a concept. I would point out, however, that the "spiked chain" is a D&D weapon that is not in Conan.

That's left over from the D&D version. Ignore it.

why leave the spiked whip out? I would make it a exotic weapon but it fits with the slaver class

That's why I left it in, in case you wanted to use that weapon in your Conan game. Otherwise, ignore it.
