slaine chess?

There's a eastern game called something like 'Nine Stones', I'm not sure if thats right though, but it uses a similar pattern to what is described in all that background information written about Fidchell.

The pattern offered may offer more insight into the game as it is based on Chinese Alchemy. Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal.

There is also mention the well known characters from eastern folklore that correspond with the elements written above. WaterDragon/Water,
Wood/Pigsy, Fire/Monkey, Earth/ Priest ( Don't know spelling of name.), Metal/Friar Sandy. I thought it strange that Sandy being a Fish Spirit doesn't get water, but it still works out.

I will see if I can find it, but would appreciate it if somebody who is way ahead of me could shed some light.

monkey resources are few and far between in english  so give me some time to ask some people but will get on to it 8) could it be a version of mar jong sounds like have same elements :?

Well, I do know that if I type in 'Monkey Magic' into Google, I will few pages of Monkey websites. One of which shows a excerpt from this game.

Then again the game could be Indian in origin, & I'm Iooking at the wrong website all together.

No Pressure.

I finally found the page I was looking for.

You know, the one that I promiced!

It's one that shows a diagram of game call 'Ten Stones' being played. It is of course based on the Kababalistic Tree Of Life, but it also makes a comparison to 'Journey to the West' and about half-way down the page the five main characters from the story are given a place on the Tree of Life diagram.

I'll just make it understood also that this isn't some cheap attempt on my part to push Jewish mysticism, as I am not one of their faithful. Though I thought you may find some of this facinating & enjoyable.

thank you for the link alot of moves seem to lead to death  and think slaine chess should be the celtic version but thank you for the site 8)
