When you've lost weapons on your White Star and can't do Damage Control, you might as well try and take one of them down with you.

So, the tone of the last few posts would indicate, and I would concur, that it might be just TOO DAMN UNLIKELY that one could successfully do a Skin Dance. Maybe the target numbers need reviewing. Hmmmm?

Indeed, I always keep the idea of a skindance bmb in resere, it's easier to fail a skindance check that it is to passd a ramming check.

Good idea. But, you would think that with the limited number of ships allowed to try it, and with two additional years of training to boot, that it would be a little more achievable than it is at present.

If it did not have to be rerolled very turn an whitestar can become immune to attack by gloming onto a ship, and simply waiting out the timer on the scenario. Not exactly fond of that idea.

Not sure about the motivations of white stars, but Minbari fighters have a solid reason for skindancing (IF it allows you to bypass AF).

Minbari fighters only have a hull of 3 - so each point of AF has a 2/3 chance of shooting one down. The 5+ required for skindancing gives exactly the same odds for survival, but even should the valiant fighters fail, they at least may do a bit more damage. Should they succeed, they'll be quite a bit safer (at least 'til next turn...). The only time a Minbari WOULDN'T skindance is in the total absence of AF...

How about the desire to avoid the bad guys nearby who don't have Accurate or Precise traits? ;)
