Singularity Errata

Act One, page 72 says this:

Alternatively, if the Travellers are using the Velos tis Alitheia, they can jump to Farhome in secret from Prubisk, conduct an operation and rejoin the Ventura Fortuna at Kamodoo. The liner will operate at a reduced capability of jump-1, necessitating a stop at Basilling, but with its Class A starport, this poses no operational problems.

The liner is reduced to jump-2 without Velos tis Alitheia.

Act One, page 73:

If the Ventura Fortuna is limited to jump-1, the crew must reunite at Basilling. Because of its starport travel limitations, the liner is blocked from proceeding alone the route by Farhome with its Class D starport.

Jump-2. Also, alone should be along.

On page 37 under "The Rogue Agent" it mentions that Dylyr was selected by Cleon II aka "Cleon the Mad"

1: Cleon the mad was Cleon III
2: The Angin-Wafer was named after Emperor Anguistus, who wouldn't be Emperor for another 80 years after Cleon III.
Saw your post on Reddit first. I'll look into it. Thanks for the catch. I love nerd lore, too, and want to the narrative to be consistent with canon.

Nah, it specifically calls out that this is experimental prototypes. That's within the rules.

I'm kind of wondering what the in character reason for the digital transmissions are. It seems like it doesn't save any time. And, at least in some of the cases, you have to bring back physical things anyway.

I can see the meta reasons
1) Digital consciousness transfer is cool
2) It removes Naalir from the party for the actual adventures.
3) Means you don't have to actually play out the travel. You don't travel any faster, but the players can skip the journey.

Eh.... then I guess we can just ignore the TL rules entirely. 'Oh, it's a prototype. It's all good'....

I am going to say this one last time and then forever shut up about it - existing canon has been completely ignored for the writing of the Mongoose Third Imperium

Canon such as it is has the Hop drive discovered around the year 1900, I have disliked the prototype and experimental rules in MgT and T5 for this very reason. T5 states that Hop drive is a completely different technology to jump drive, you can discover jump but never discover hop, and vise versa. But this isn't T5 and the Mongoose Third Imperium is not the MWM Third Imperium anymore, and MgT is not T5.

Meson communicators at TL14? I thought they were TL15 only and had to be vehicle mounted... now you can get them as ear buds...

The domain of deneb never existed and there was no domain level government until Norris declared himself archduke...

I love some of the easter eggs... a wrecked air/raft dating to 456... and the suits adventure is just a thing of twisted brilliance

My only complaint is that a couple of the chapters don't flow very well, the history of the goonies jumps all over the place, and the adventure on

page 54 there are three ways to run this adventure, first...

fast forward to page 56 and it starts with the third

is the final paragraph on page 55 meant to be the second way to run the adventure? If so tit needs to start Second,

That's all true, but no one says that the Jump Drive Institute's research survives and gets deployed.. 😈

I have no problem with that as long as changing Charted Space in that way is Mongoose's goal. My "solution" is only a solution if Mongoose sees this as a bug and not a feature.
Since they created the prototype rules and now have an official example of a prototype Hop drive ships or two, it hardly matters what their intentions were. It’s a done deal.
