Cosmic Mongoose
Well maybe MWP will lose the licence. Frankly they are doing a crappy job with the licence they have. The core book had to wait until a 4th printing before it got an index or character sheet. My friend and I got the book an neither he nor I could find the Attribute used to fire a gun (Strength or Agility, it doesn't say) and we looked hard. The game is geared for new gamers but the system features an action point system (fate points, character points, whatever you want to call them) that lets you upgrade your dice. So, for example, you spend a point and go from a d8 to a d10 (meanwhile noob gamers are trying to figure out which is the d8 and which is the d10, let alone how does spending this point benefit them).
But the two biggest complaints I have about it are: 1) frankly, the book just doesn't inspire any games. Its rather flat. The chinese is cute, but gets ignored after determined to be way to cumbersome since players have to look up the words and then everyone else must look up those words to figure out what the player said (or rather, butchered). I was not able to find any inspiring plot hooks or anything else that made me say, "Yea I want to play this." (Also, the exactly same common complaint is made about their other big licence, BSG.) And 2) MWP didn't get a good initial licence. They got a licence that allowed them to release a core book, an adventure, and a GM screen. That's it. Yes they had problems with the studio concerning licencing, but frankly, why did they sign the licence if they could only release so little? Yea, they've got more coming next year, but the core book came out, what, 2 years ago? That's an eternity for a game to not be supported. The fans of the game are use to writing their own material now. Heck, House of the Harping Monkey pretty much said in a recent podcast do not buy serenity supplements and go with the world the gamers created.
So frankly, I hope MWP loses their licence.
EDIT: I corrected myself. I said it was the Sons of Kryos, I was wrong. It was the House of the Harping Monkey (RoleMonkey, specificly).
