Shooting "through" planets and other Stellar Debri

Hi all! Is it possible for a narn ship to shoot its Energy Mines to the other side of a planet or astroid field/gas cloud template? I know these block LOS but wanted to make sure that you couldnt shoot these weapons in the "general area" on the other side of these templates to hit a ship.

The rules state that you can not target a ship on the other side of the template and we have always played that you cannot shoot the energy mines to the opisite side but wanted to make sure we were doing it right.

The target point of an e-mine must be in line of sight. It is still possible to catch a hidden ship withinn the burst radius though.
