The AT-M6 made its first appearance in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, as the First Order variant of the AT-AT or All Terrain Armored Transport of the Galactic Empire, being larger and more stable.

The All-Terrain MegaCaliber Six (AT-M6), also known as the Gorilla Walker or First Order Heavy Assault Walker, was a mobile heavy artillery walker used by the First Order during their war with the Resistance.

It was intended to make siege warfare simple and short, the M6 is powerful enough to punch through shields rated to deflect bombardments from orbit.

It was also considered the biggest walker in the First Order's arsenal. The AT-M6 was much larger than the AT-AT used by the Galactic Empire.

It was operated by the First Order Walker Drivers, who were responsible for the use of the machine's most distinctive feature, a single MegaCaliber Six turbolaser cannon mounted to its back for which the walker was named.

The legs were modified to bear increased weight and to provide the stability needed to brace the craft against the canon’s massive recoil.

Darth Vader’s suit followed an ancient Sith tradition where the warriors of the Dark Side of the Force would clad in heavy armors, and because of this, it also incorporated many aspects of Sith alchemy to help with Vader’s weakened physical strength and vitality, after his near-fatal duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The helmet is the most important part of his suit. The obvious purpose it serves is to help Vader breathe, but it’s far more complex than that.

The helmet is made up of three parts; a protective neck gaiter, the primary mask, and the outer shell.
Designed to be intimidating and to strike fear into the opponent, Darth Vader’s helmet is a combination of both Sith tradition and technology, custom-fitted to Darth Vader’s head, and designed to be removed as needed to show his face.

The gaiter helps support Vader’s neck, has a nutrient feeding tube, and this is also where his iconic and booming voice is processed and projected. The mask is the most intricate part of the helmet.

The original R2-D2 was designed by George Lucas and legendary artist Ralph McQuarrie, who drew inspiration from the cartoon series Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

Several R2-D2 models were built for the original Star Wars films; one that was remotely controlled and travel on three-wheeled legs, and others that were worn by English actor Kenny Baker.

R2-D2 stands for Second Generation Robotic Droid Series-2 and has appeared in eleven of the twelve Star Wars films to date. Astromechs are used in various starfighters as onboard flight support and can operate in the vacuum of space.

R2-D2 was one of several astromech droids on Queen Padmé during the invasion of Naboo by the Trade Federation.

The astromech droid was manufactured by Industrial Automaton with masculine programming.

Why Airless Tires Kinda Suck

They really aren't the answer - but why is everyone talking about them?

Here’s a question... if normal road cars can beat some supercars in a traffic-light drag race, avoid crashes for you and even drive themselves, why on earth are we still using tyres that are full of air that can get punctures and can leave you stranded by the side of the motorway?

You pay hundreds of dollars for some new tyres, and they could be instantly rendered completely useless by a nail, some glass or even clipping a kerb in the wrong way.

And we’ve been promised a road version of these sci-fi space tyres that NASA are using - but that was nearly ten years ago - so where are they? And why can’t I get some fitted to my Volkswagen?

Now, before we get into these fancy, new squishy tyres - we should talk about what we have now. Even though tyres may seem like just boring black doughnuts of rubber, they're actually very well designed.

On average they last around 30’000 miles, varying on whether they are on a driven axle or not - but that’s pretty good. And they produce less noise than ever, they have very good suspension characteristics, are most comfortable, and are very predictable to drive.

And by that - I mean that when you get near the limit of grip, they break into a slide gradually. This means that the average driver can feel this happening and correct it before things go wrong.

CycloRotor: Is this the future of eVTOL Electric Propulsion System?

In February 1923, Jonathan Edward Caldwell, filed for a patent on a device he called the "cyclogyro". It consisted of an airplane fuselage with two paddle-wheel-like attachments in place of the wings. This was only one of many attempts to create a vertical takeoff and landing Cyclocopter aircraft.

This century-old technology used successfully in ships, is gaining traction as an eVTOL main and auxiliary propulsion system. It offers compactness, precise maneuverability, and a stable transition from hover to flight. In this video, I will explain the operating principle of the Cyclorotor and I will go over the pros and cons of the propulsion system that could be powering your future daily commute.

The historic failure of Cyclogyro prototypes can be attributed to one or more of 3 main weaknesses: unsuitable materials, heavy engines and power sources or insufficient knowledge of aerodynamic phenomena.

In recent years, converging technologies and improvements in lightweight materials, electric propulsion systems and batteries have reached a point where they have the potential to revolutionize air travel. The creation of new Cyclorotor systems that benefit from this technology advancements are allowing the development of new Cyclocopter aircraft around the world.


Cyclocopter technology combines the main benefits of rotorcraft and fixed-wing concepts. A CycloRotor has several wings rotating around a central rotation axis at a constant speed. These wings are connected to a freely rotating hub via conrods.

An eccentric position of the hub causes a periodic change of the pitch angle of attack of a wing during one revolution, thereby generating accelerated airflow and creating thrust.

In hover, the blades are actuated to a positive pitch (outward from the center of the rotor) on the upper half of their revolution and a negative pitch (inward towards the axis of rotation) over the lower half inducing a net upward aerodynamic force and opposite fluid downwash.

The new computer ballistic scope will replace the ACOG and CCO entirely. It calculates where to display the reticle after you press the button. This works for machine guns, rifles, sniper rifles. L3 Harris created the 1-6x magnification optic. It includes Target Reference Point features as well as the ability to laser range find. Its like having a range card in front of you so you can re find old targets.
