Here is the essay Drawing Deckplans With Campaign Cartographer 2 Pro that I wrote, also at Freelance Traveller.

Very good essay.

Thank you.

I assume you did not have the cosmographer add in.

No, I do not have the Cosmographer expansion for CC2. You can (hopefully) download a pdf copy of the essay from the Yahoo Deckplans Group files section. If those don't work for you contact me through the PM service (with email address and specific request) of this board and I'll send you a copy by email attachment.

Some nice, clean plans here:

Not mine, I hasten to add.

I've recently started work on a collection of locations and ships for Traveller.

I'm thinking of putting a supplement together if I'm happy with the quality of my samples, and if I can get my head round the license requirements. I've been using the 'classic' style that's more minimalistic and maybe cleaner than Mongoose Publishing..

I welcome feedback on whether a compilation of locations and ships is a supplement people would be interested in, or whether the old style deck plans is something that Mongoose Traveller players appreciate.

Dude, Your examples are very good, go with that style.

The only thing I would change is the Deck labels on the Tambura Class Mercenary Assault Ship, A Deck, B Deck etc..... They will probably be referred to by the phonetic alphabet names, but not officially labeled with them. IMHO.

Are those barracks I see on deck Charlie through Foxtrot?

I also think you should use the letter instead of the phonetic.

Well this MonTrav player thinks they're pretty damn sweet. I don't know how much I'd pay for just a book of deck plans, but a book of ship designs with that quality of presentation (and maybe some nice flavor) would definitely go on my to-buy list.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I wanted to give the decks full names, I didn't want just a letter. For some reason seeing the Nato phonetics spelled out seems a bit off. I'll find a different naming system.

BTW, yes those are barracks with double bunks, so there are 32 soldiers packed in each.

Dear All,
I am using autorealms and am having trouble locating the traveller symbol library. The links do not seem to work. Anybody know wheer I might get them?

cheers

Hi drnuncheon,
I'm sure most players think the same. My aim is to cover 30 locations in very high detail. Not just ships, but other locations that referees can write their own adventures or encounters around. I'm still working on the list, though it does include a planetary defense meson gun, a minor Ancient ruin, highly detailed examples of the different starport classes.

OK, sold.

For this alone, I would buy it. Having highport and downport layouts would be a huge help, and I'm too lazy to draw up my own.

I've just completed the deck plans for the old Chrysanthemum class Destroyer Escort and thought some in the community might like to use it.
