Shadowcloak Escort - Psi Corps

Just the one I'm afraid.

That much money for just ONE?!?!?! what a rip-off! - In a 5 point raid game, I'd have to spend over $50 for basically 4 patrol boats??? for only 20% of my fleet???
Thanks for replying! I almost actually bought one - I think I'll buy the Chronos frigate 4 pack instead.

Maybe using teyhus? typhus? tythis? dammit, where's my book, tethys-class cutters with some slight conversions, or a sinister paint job, would do the trick. They are about the right size, and cheaper. I use mine as "Counts as" hermes.

I'd allow Tethys Cutters as Shadow Cloaks in games. Can't speak for others, of course.

There ought to be some Shadow Cloaks in the fleet box, to save money that way, and have a Psi Corps fleet that isn't dependent on allies to make up the 5 battle points.

It looks at first glance – even electronically – like a Tethys police cutter.
Use a Tethys. I don't see a reason why they made a seperate model, or are they planning on producing somthing new for every avrient ship?

It isn't a variant, despite what the fluff text says, it is an entirley different looking ship. The price of many low end Psi Corps ships does seem to make the fleet seem prohibitively expensive (certainly to me).

I was looking to get some Gaim mainly as allies for my ISA, but seeing the size of their models I decided against it too. £6 for the small queen ship is just too much for me to justify.

Maybe the prices will drop in the future - presumably now they include the overheads such as design, sculpting, molds, etc. As time goes by the oveheads should be paid for, so price should drop. Maybe.

My main problem with the Shadowcloak is that the miniature is just too big; the ship it was based on was a bigger shuttle in the series. Two smaller ones instead of one big one in the blister would help (like with the Olympus), but I like the look of the miniature overall. Still, both it and the carrier are a little toooooo expensive, leaving the Psi Coprs fleet to hardcore gamers (the kind that would buy a whole Forge World army for 40K), or converters (Tethys, traders and liners all the way)

Well their ships are more expensive but I can't see how they can be TOO expensive and reserved for 'hardcore gamers (the kind that would buy a whole Forge World army for 40K)' It's not like they cost as much as a warhound each.

Yes, you´re right; I was a lillte exaggerating here... still, Psi Corps is surely one of the most expensive fleets out there atm.

Beaten hands down by Gaim though... 108 fighter flights anyone? Plus another 108 if you want proper minis for the Klikkitaks!

plus breaching pods

yeah, if i had used fighter models for my tourney fleet it would have cost me around £150 for auxillary craft alone.

I was going to be selling a Chronos box set, but then I decided to start a full on EA:CE fleet instead ;)
With regards to the Shadowfuries, officially they've been released, but I know that hobbybox hasn't been able to get their hands on them yet. (I've been trying. Repeatedly )

Yeah, I was looking at FRP and I don't even see them listed, so I guess I could try ordering them through mt LGS but they said it depends on their distributor as they are no longer going to order any to keep on shelf.
