So you're saying that the Shadow cloud is probably more worthwhile then the Shadow Ship as an armageddon choice?
definately. it would eat a shadow ship for breakfast - possibly even 6 shadow ships 
shadow ship has 18 inch range beam with 8AD the cloud has 24inch beam with 4AD and 30 inch missiles with 8AD and just as effective as the beam, both of these weapons can hit upto 6 seperate targets every turn. plus the shadow cloud has antifighter defenses, the shadow ships dont.
only problem a shadowcloud has thats operating on base defense is it can be outranged and cant move, but cant be outranged by shadowships so it will beat them.
