Second Session Update

I am currently involved in two rpg games; the first is a weekly Pathfinder game in which I play a rogue (just reached 4th level), while the second is a monthly Legend game that I GM.

We concluded our second Legend session earlier this evening and I am blown away by Legend's elegant simplicity. I almost find myself looking for complexity where none exists. I am particularly enjoying combat which is brutal and deadly but quick. Combat manoeuvres are awesome and add an additional layer of realism to the sequence. There have been four combats in total in the two sessions, and so far a pack of three ghouls proved the most challenging. The party managed four fumbled rolls today and were lucky to have survived intact.

I want more Legend gaming in my life now :D

For most part Legend's system is quick and simple to play, but there are few things which you should remember in combat. In bigger battles it can be bit of a chore to keep in track how many combat actions each combatant has, but it's manageable. And you should read the charge rules very carefully, because those are bit confusing and can cause disputes with players who have different interpretation. And while combat manoeuvres are cool you should make sure that people select them in right place. I have had some players who have difficulties to remember that they should pick the combat manoeuvre(s) before they roll the damage and hit location dices, but with such players you'll have to be strict.

Thanks for the advice!

Charging was something that I got wrong the first time ... A careful reread sorted that out, however.
