Sandcaster sand barrel/canister

Hello all,

Can someone please provide the book and page number that details how much a sand canister decreases the damage a laser can do?

I am fairly sure I read about the sand canister in CRB or HG, unfortunately I can not find the material again.

I am fairly sure I read about the sand canister in CRB or HG, unfortunately I can not find the material again.

Core rulebook page 160 under Disperse Sand. Improves the ships armor against that attack by 1D + the Effect of the check.
Core rulebook page 158, under Double and Triple Turrets. Additional sandcasters beyond the first in the turret add +1 to the damage negated, so a triple sandcaster turret can negate 1D+2+the Effect of the check damage from one attack.
