While I like most of the new augments, there is one area that seems to be a bit off.
Armour is pathetic.
The so-called heavily armoured IMA Deep Space Exoskeleton (page 29) provides no more armour than a regular Vacc Suit, and has a -2 penalty to Dexterity. ????? On page 26 it says "An exoskeleton is a form of Battledress that is fused directly with the body to some degree." It costs as much as TL 13 Battle dress and isn't available until TL 14, I would expect it to be AT LEAST as protective as TL 11 Combat Armour Which costs 1/10th as much, has all of the benefits, but none of the penalties.).
The TL 12 IMA Grunt exoskeleton (page 29) only provides as much armour as Cloth Armour and costs Cr750,000+.
The TL 13 IMA "Boxer" hard-body replacement (page 29) is described as being a 2.2 meter tall lumbering war machine and heavily armoured in ceramic plating, yet has no more armour than a Flak Vest. Oddly enough it only costs Cr800,000. This so-called heavily armoured war machine can be taken out by an infantryman armed with a TL 7 Assault Rifle (And he doesn't even need AP ammo to do so!).
Is there some sort of eratta that I missed? Is there supposed to be a 1 in front of these numbers? You can't actually be serious about these armour ratings!
