I think I and alot more people would be more pro Mongoose if the pro camp didn't make such outlandish claims every now and again. I mean I'd got it all through my system till I read that part.
Saying that Mongoose is a small company just doesn't wash, Im sorry They are in fact one of the larger ones out there these days.
If you want to to try comparing Mongoose to a fairer sized company, I'd say Privateer press or maybe even the company which does the Wargods line if you want to insist Mongoose are tiny are the safest bets.
And I think thats the crutch of it really. People know that they can't change anything by complaining, but when they here people saying it isnt all that bad, and that the systems gonna bounce back 100 times stronger they probably get just as annoyed as you people calling for calm.
Compare whats happened right now with the Evo line, with all of the other mid-large sized companies and things are still just as bad as if you compare them to GW or Rackham (Never mind the fact that it wasn't even that long ago that Rackham was a smallish company, which has grown with success).
Mongoose will sort this out, and I do genuinely hope, and even believe that they'll pull it back and eventually present us with a product which meets all their claims. But even thinking that I can understand this furar going on for a couple of days yet.
And for the record I am actually still playing SST semi regularly and will continue to long after the system eventually dies, but I'd rather that was a long way off.
Besides I want to Froth over lots of lovelly new models for my favourite system.
