RuneQuest PDFs have no bookmarks :(

I have just purchased the RQ and Companion PDFs in the buy one get one free offer on DTRPG and was a little disappointed by the lack of bookmarks.

Any chance this will be rectified in the near future?

I Second this. They really should have Bookmarks.

And the contents and index should be linked as well. But I'd take just bookmarks.

Yep, it is pretty disappointing, but considering that there also are spelling mistakes, and faults in the layout, it is not surprising.

I think they should take a bit more time with the proofread and making sure everything is OK before they release than they are doing now.

And yeah, book marks would be nice, and links in the pdf would be nice as well and to be honest pretty easy to do.

I agree, makes it easier to get to where you want, but there is always the FIND tab :lol:

As far as spelling and typos, these things happen. My big gripe about that was they had to redue and release Conan RPG into Atlantean, and there were a lot of typos in that...

Although, I must admit, I never download PDF books. Just accessories that are not printed.

Ralios, Runes for Glornatha, and a few Signs and Portent articles. My ink costs are ungodly, so it is cheaper to buy the books....

I find I only get round to reading books in PDF format now as I put them on my pocket PC / mobile phone and read them wherever I am.

I am still struggling through the hard copy of System Failure for Shadowrun after months because I never get around to digging the book out of my work bag and reading it. Whereas in the last couple of months I have read Agents of Freedom & Golden Age for M&M and Denizens of Earthdawn in PDF on my phone.

I like the fact that the RQ PDFs are small in memory size and render quickly on my pocket PC - White Wolf's Werewolf the Forsaken is simply unreadable on my pocket PC.

You must have a pretty impressive Pocket PC - my Palm (admittedly, old and colourless) can't cope with pdfs for love nor money. What model do you use?

Not really it is a T-mobile MDA Vario which I got for a tenner when I renewed my contract (I had to go for an 18 month Flext tariff costing my about £25 a month).

The ClearVue PDF reader it comes with is useless however, I installed Adobe Reader for pocket PCs and it works a treat. On some large files I don't display images to allow it to render things quicker but for the RQ PDFs I don't even need to do that.

The two column format of most RPG books allows me to have one column width displayed on screen at a time (though I have read an Earthdawn PDF which was a scan and was one column - I had to keep scrolling left and right for each line!)

As I said it is about the only way I read my game books now, though I always buy the hardcopy for the game table as it isn't as easy to skip about on the pocket PC.

Now, printing from work is a DMANED good idea, but if I get "CAUGHT", I do not have to worry about printing from work again...
