Hm if you don't wanna change your 7 pts war fleet
I would also suggest, that you put in:
1 Poseidon
1 Marathon
1 Hyperion
2 Chronos
1 Marathon
1 Hyperion
and either another
2 Chronos
Or
1 Chronos and
2 Hermes.
Furthermore, if the 7 War pts are arguable, I would
also suggest, that you take Marathons instead of Omegas.
They have a few dice less in the Broadsides (and 2 flights
less then Omegas), but they have the advantage, that
you can maneuver them easier into a position where you can
use your weapons to maximum capacity.
Especially against white stars, the omegas will almost for sure
get completely outmaneuvered. The marathons would have a bit
better chance at not getting completely outmaneuvered
(And also their increased speed can help a bit here).
For the Poseidon I would suggest, exchanging the Auroras for
either Badgers or Thunderbolts (depending on wether your enemy
likes Carriers much or not. If he doesn't field a fleet consisting
primarily on carriers I would go for Thunderbolts, else I would take
the Badgers. Maybe you should also drop 1, or 2 patrol ships in order
to get Firebolts, but I personally don't think that that would be
much of a gain [ok they have Precise Weapons and can fire them outside
of the AF range, but how many of your enemies ships will have AF?
And chances are good, that most of your fights will survive at least
a few rounds, so precies isn't really a must, because you will have the
chance to hammer his ships for a few rounds in a row. Furthermore
most of his ships simply don't have enough hit points, so that you
must fish for criticals

).
