Robert E. Howard Days

Mongoose
For those who're in the Texas area or thereabouts, any plans on attending the Robert E. Howard / Barbarian Days festival in Cross Plains, TX? It's in early June (though I'm not sure about the exact dates yet).

Info can be found here: http://www.crossplains.com/howard/museum.htm

I've been here in Texas for almost four years, and missed it three times previously, but this time I'm going for sure. Cannot miss the chance to pay homage to a writer who's been so influenctial in my lifetime and career.

Hope to see some of you there!

Hey, I've been here my whole life and have yet to make it, so don't feel bad. Sounds like a good idea, though - I think I'll try to get there this time.

After all, I was just in Peaster not long ago. Seems like I ought to make a clean sweep and hit Cross Plains this year too.

Hope to see you there.

I will be in Dallas the first week in August but that doesn't help any. Isn't Dallas about 5 hrs from there anyway. Maybe I need to make a little pilgrimage when I am down there....

Nope. It's not quite as far as Abilene, so that should put it around 170 miles - not very far at all. Maybe a little more than two hours - assuming you drive like me. :)
