You can use the cost of the Divine Spells in the companion as a guide - it would have cost the priest 800sp to start with, plus 5 days of his time (and he's probably worth 100-500sp per day). Then with profit on top. This gives abut 2000-4000sp, which may seem a lot but the "production cost" to the priest is 1300 to start with.
Alternatively, the cult may expect 90% of everything the character owns (other than weapons, armour, perhaps). After all, it's that or nothing! And if the cult finds the party has "redistributed" their wealth to avoid paying 'too much', then Resurrect could be withheld in the future. :twisted:

To me Resurrection should always be role played and not just bought like a loaf of bread. And often the cost will be in service and not coin I might add.For example does the person dead have a good reputation with the Priest ? .How was the person killed? What cult is the priest/dead person in? A poor but honorable warrior, who gave his life bravely defending his community against Broo raiders will not pay much and the price might even be free with the understanding he will have to perform some mission for the priest in the future. . An amoral mercenary might not find anyone willing to resurrect him not matter how much his friends are willing to pay.
My take tends to be that the whole party get into debt with the appropriate cult/Church etc. Resurrection generally means 50% of anything they are not already contributing to their own 'organisation' for all of the party or a serious 'debt of honour' to be repaid when it is least convenient to the Players (well I have to get my fun somewhere). The time period will last for as long as seems appropriate with reference to the sort of thing TRose takes into consideration. Of course the stupider the move which caused the demise - the longer the debt lasts.
