Request: French and German Translation

Yes, this does apply to Traveller, or at least 2300AD.

I need French and German words or phrases that mean something like "tree folk" or "tree people". A colloquial expression would be preferred, which is why I'm not using an online translator.

I would translate "tree people" as either "Baumleute" (=
"tree people", literal) or "Waldleute" (= "forest people"),
depending on whether you mean some connection with
individual trees or more with living in a forest environment.
If the emphasis is on a group of people (ethnicity, nation,
species ...), "tree folk" could be translated as either "Baum-
volk" (relation to individual trees) or "Waldvolk" (relation
to the forest).

Yep, if the relation is as close or closer as that of,
for example, a Dryad, it would be "Baumleute" for
a group of individuals and "Baumvolk" for the spe-
cies (and probably just "Baum" = "tree" for a single
individual).

What tree folks? People leaving among trees or people looking like tree?
First could be something like les forestiers ou les Hommes des arbres, while the second would be something like un homme-arbre... You can tell me more by PM, or simply go the french forum...
