FYI first game night with RQ2 went off very well. everyone is chomping at the bit for next session. We've got 4 humans and an elf, being in order a merchant, diplomat, archer (soldier) and blacksmith of civilized origin, and one barbarian elf shaman. I pulled out all my old RQ campaign notes fro my campaign setting which (while using D&D for many years) started back in 1992 as a Runequest setting and has periodically revisited it. Very exciting, gotta say; some of the players in this group have never played Runequest before and are already boggling at the possibilites they have in a classless system. The old vets (myself and one other player) continue to be impressed with the pure and almost mystical refinement of this edition in to such a beautiful set of mechanics. The other old vet was shocked when I told him that SIZ no longer affected strike rank, though (I read elsewhere about that errata) but agreed that the idea that a colossal dragon could technically move faster/react sooner simply due to size wasn't very logical.
