Renegade Legion: Centurion.

At the moment I'm working on a mod. for Renegade Legion: Centurion using the ACTA rules. I started doing it because I had a load of the plastic tanks from the cohort boxes and couldn't use more than 1-2 platoons in the main game; this way I can use a LOT more. Anyway, I need a bit of help, I've moved house about 3 times in the last few years and appear to have lost the boxed game and the vehicle readout. What I need is some information on the tanks in the readout, the weapons load of the viper (nah tikal), and a list of the basic scenario points values.

Version 1 of the rules are nearing completion and should be on the Mongoose Mods site in a few days, this stuff would be for version 2. Can anyone help?

Isn't Centurion a ground-based combat game, and therefore it would be analagous to Gropos rather than ACTA? IIRC the Renegade Legion space combat games were Interceptor and Leviathan?

Sort of ground based - IIRC they were capable of operating through the entire atmosphere and on the edge of space but were inferior to fighters above certain heights.

I would be very interested in seeing this - pm with what you need and I'll try and help..........

Yes, but it uses pseudo-inertial movement that makes it a better fit for the ACTA game system than Babylon 5 space combat is, IMNSHO. I usually look at other 6mm wargames for Centurion mods, but I can see where ACTA would work.

I'll see if I can track down that information: my basement is a bit of a mess at the moment...

Renegade Legion... Wow, haven't seen or heard of that for quite some time. I have the original rules for Interceptor, but never played it. Back in the mid-90's, I tried to do an Interceptor conversion for B5 using the Micromachine toys. Unfortunately, it never panned out and the AoG version came out (and made my efforts somewhat pointless).

Back in college, we played Centurion a lot -- huge battles on multiple tables. That was a great game. As was Leviathan. Later we started playing Epic 40K and Renegade Legion faded away.

Yeah, I loved the game and the background, Prefect, Leviathan and Interceptor (2nd Ed.) are available as PDF's online, but not Centurion. My Mod uses the Stealth rule for shields, the Interceptor rules for Vulcan systems and seems pretty well balanced (so far so good), all of the lasers have beam so can burn through most cover like it wasn't there, but are stopped cold by shields, the painting laser that 'decodes' shields doesn't have beam so is affected by cover. There are some quite high damage multipliers for the weapons, so it should be quick and bloody. I'll put my conversion notes up in the file on Mongoose Mods as well.

Okay. Version 1 is up on Mongoose Mods. Its still a lot rough around the edges and I haven't got the artillery rules done yet, or the PL/points values. But, let me know what you think - especially about allowing a vehicle to move between 0 and full, rather than between 1/2 and full as in ACTA (still not sure about it).
