Pg147 – Fuel: It should be listed how long it takes to refuel using scoops from a starport, from a gas giant and from landing in water. Might even say how long it takes to fuel at a starport with hoses and some guy pumping the hydrogen into your tanks (and do you tip?) :)

I doubt such an operation will be consistent. See real life.
I'm not a fan of equality, symmetry, or homogeneousness.
 
Even if it's inconsistent (ref's call), having something gives you a starting point and one other thing you don't need to create for a situation where it comes in handy when playing. Having these things predefined is why you buy a ruleset.
 
Certainly the time to refill (per ton) at a starport is going to be very relevant to most players.

"How long 'til we leave?"
"We won't be fully fueled for 2 hours"
"When will we have enough for a Jump-1?"

Wilderness refueling would probably be more restricted by fuel processor throughput.
 
I agree. Like when the players land and they get into a, ah, 'disagreement' with the locals at a non-imperial starport and the Captain (let's call him "Mal") comes screaming back up to the ship unexpectedly, with the aforementioned locals on the horizon, and the engineer/pilot (who always have to stay withe ship) get asked "how soon can we lift off?".

And, let's say you are refueling in a gas giant and you need to know how long you have to be in there because the captain casually mentions he wants to give you an ear(ful) that he's got a deadline to be somewhere or he's dead.

Knowledge saves lives! And fuel. Fuel and knowledge saves lives!
