Refit & Other Duties vs Personalities

Hi all and happy new year to everyone :D

Here is a question we had in preparing a new campaign, we've got a Dilgar a Brakiri and a Shadow player.
The Brakiri special rule states they gain 1RR point/race if a another race makes at least one refit during the turn.

The question is that on the fleet book despite of the main title being
"Shadow Personnalities" the table is named "Refit".

From a storyline point of view I can't see how Brakiri guys could benefit of a shadow "refit" but if we stick to the text our brakiri player should receive 1RR
each turn I do at least one "shadow refit" (I'm the shadow player).

Thanks for any kind of comment/idea and/or official statement.

depends on whether you play with the spirit, or letter iof the rules. I can't see any way a Brakiri should benefit from a refit to either a shadow or indeed Vorlon. However, to fit with the ruling you could justify shadows at least with

"the brakiri have transported a stasis pod for a buyer. that buyer is an agent of the shadows, and the stasis pod contains a new "core" for a shadow ship, thus giving it a different personallity and netting the brakiri 1rr!"
for the sake of 1RR per refit, i'd let them have it, the brakir will need all the help they can get!

there is even some basis in the show for shadows/vorlons using lower races bits... In the first confrontation between morden and Kosh, at the end of the episode Garibaldi mentions that Kosh has put in a requisition for stuff to repair is encounter suit.

I'd guess you sort of the pet food supplier to the shadows at that point, even 'ship core modules' need to eat right?

Given that the Pack Rats rule was changed drastically from 1st Ed the Brakiri do need all the help they can get as far as Pack Rats is concerned. When I played them in a campaign in 1st Ed very rarely did any of my oppenents do refits because they didn't want to fill my coffers. In 2nd Edition they don't care because the max RR I can earn from it per turn is however many enemies I have left in the campaign (currently 2)

Well tools are pretty much tools, a screwdriver will likely still be a screwdriver in 1000 years.

Or it could have been a cunning ruse or subterfuge.
