Recent Forum Problems

Many appologies for the recent problems with the forums; we've unfortuantely been faced with server and database problems outside our direct control.

In an effort to get the forums back on-line as swiftly as possible we've had to use a slightly older backup so there will be some recent posts missing I'm afraid.

We are however still making an effort to fully recover all forum data and will hopefully update again shortly to put all the missing post back.

Appologies for the inconvenience and thanks for you patience.

thanks for the update - if we post new things will they be lost when it reverts to the newer data?
The restore data will have the same post ID's and thread ID's as the posts made since the restore. So speaking as someone who works with databases, it would be quite a pain to restore the old posts, and keep the new ones. Thats not to say it's impossible, just that I wouldn't like to be the one who has to do it! Good luck Mongoose :)

Any ETA on the missing post recovery?

It seems that we're fighting a losing battle against these spams. People report some, admins delete them, and still the spams return..

Perhaps another overhaul period for this site is in order?

If you need assistance on a resolution let me know. The same thing happened to EvoCommand a month or two ago.

Judging from the time gaps in my topic notification emails, the forums have been down a couple of times, presumably applying fixes of some sort.

Hope they work
