Reappearance of the RPG main book

The RPG has reappeared on the site but with a changed blurb that seems to hint it includes parts for magic of Magnamund as well as some new things not in any previous books. But the Isbn no. and MGP number are the same as the previous release.

Is it possible that someone can clear up if this is a compilation re-release or just an incorrect blurb.

That was a bit of a suprise. I had not expected to to see the old RPG released again and if the blurb is right it does contain elements of Magic of Magnamund. There is also reference to rangers and they were not in the original books either. Although I'm happy to see the main rules in print again. I wont buy it again unless it was significantly different. Does this mean mongoose have decided not to go ahead with a new RPG based on the game books? :?

I hope they dropped the idea of a new system.. d20 is not perfect but it worked good enough.. moreover we already have some material in this format..

I wish they hadn't dropped the D20 game in the first place but it most certainly looked like it was. That being the case I was in favour of a system based on the books that would allow us to use extensive material straight from the books. At least then we would have plenty of material from the game books.

If instead we are looking at a rehash of old material this really has nothing to offer to me and I doubt that there will be much if any new material released for a D20 system anyway, we didn't get much the first time around. D20 supported with new material is fine and a system based on the game books would be good too as long as either is supported.
