Ready actions

Hello can someone tell what action are to do with Ready actions and how they work. If you can brake them down for me so I can understand them better.

*sights* Manual, gentlemen, manual... It simply can't be layed simplier than it already is in the manual.

Ready is an action taken as a preparation for the next action - after a ready unit can do one of the following:
- re-roll dices on weapons w/squad trait during the next fire action,
- fire a weapon w/ ready trait
- perform a special move (tunnel, climb, jump etc)
- perform any special action specific to the unit (like uncloaking the Infiltator bug)
- set up heavy weapons (in case of MI microsupport platforms)

Yes

or one of the assortment of things also called Ready Actions - MI promotion, use of many psychic talents, CHAS selfdestruct...

Will Evolution take the opportunity to call them Special Actions and make Ready (as in prepare) a type of Special?
 
An important thing to remember is that a ready action is still an action and allows reactions. For example, if you ready to prepare to jump, nearby bugs can react to the ready action.

Pages 28, 31, 32, & 45 mention them. Page 45 is the "meatiest" part. :D

Also, look at the figure stats as they will inform of actions and weapons that require a Ready.
