reacting to a charge with/without suppression

Do I have this correct?

If you want to charge a unit with your unit, you should definitely only do so if the target unit is under suppression, or else after you charge in, but before you do close combat, they would be able to make a reaction and blow you away?

But if you charge them while they are suppressed, the most they could do is move on the reaction? Then you could begin your close combat.

Any clarification would rock. Thanks...I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THIS GAME!

Also, anyone know of any good online stores that currently have bf:evo models in stock and for sale?

if you charge a unsupresed unit in cover they can shoot you after move but befor combat, if oponent is in the open you move do combat then they shot back, ie the advantage of being in cover when charged,

if supress in both cases all they can do is runaway like the girls they are, as a reaction, if in cover they may do this befor the combat if in open after the combat.

if i got that wrong i stand corrected but thats how we read and play it.

Evil has the correctness of it, it kinda breaks down like this:

1. unit charges
2. if charge target is in cover, target reacts
3. charging unit rolls close combat dice and assign as normal
4. if charge target is out of cover, the survivors react

If the target is supressed at the time of reaction, the only reaction they can make is to move - this is why you should lob a few units' worth of fire at the enemy before charging them so they can't shoot back.

thanks...i know these are just the basic rules, but they seem pretty easy to grasp...and I'm..uhh...popping my cherry, so to speak, with this game...this is my FIRST MINIS GAME EVER!

I did try to get into warhammer years ago..but ran out of patience, time and money...and games like star wars minis and axis and allies minis dont do it for me.

This game rocks!

BF:Evo has a very simple rules system, but rather than leading to basic tatics it allows for a lot of scope and thought - it's very elegant and rarely gets bogged down.

Well spoken - my observations exactly.

I find it rewards good small unit tactics naturally without imposing a lot of additional rules to reinforce those tactics.

One of my favorite rulesets to date - anxiously awaiting the rule book (& hoping they don't muck it up :? w/ "special" rules)

US, UK or other?

US: http://www.exodus-road.com/xcart/home.php?cat=513
The store is pretty low on stock at the moment, but is supposed to get more in whenever the transfer from the British warehouse hits the US. The store also have just about everything in the next couple waves up for preorder.
