Hi there!

A couple of months ago I was able to get hold of a copy of Dave Morris’s “Tetsubo” (courtesy of Robert Rees). This has been a most intriguing read.

Although originally written for “Warhammer” – and in itself not yet a complete manuscript - it is Dave’s vision of Yamato … and what a fascinating one it is!

Those of you out there who would like further information about Dragon Warrior’s own Land of Yamato should seriously consider taking a look at this publication ….

For more information, visit the following site: http://carnel.sdf-eu.org/tetsubo/

Kind regards,
Blue Crane

From the info on the site looks like it would slip into the Legend version of Yamato pretty seamlessly. Any idea where I and the Dragon Warriors Wiki blokes could find a copy? The site has run out.

Does James Wallis know about this project....seems it would make writing an area book for Yamato pretty easy if theres a whole bunch of Dave Morris written stuff already extant.

Can't contact anyone at that site.

Any chance you could email James re. talking to Dave about using it as an area book for Yamato for DW?

I do know about it. In fact one of my first projects in the RPG industry was trying to convert it for use with Palladium Fantasy--I was doing a lot of work for Palladium at the time. That came to nothing. Tetsubo then came to light again when I was pitching GW on the idea of Hogshead getting the WFRP licence. So I know it quite well.

I've not talked to Dave about Tetsubo and DW, but I suspect he'd agree with me that the two are not a good fit.

Thanks for the official response! Perhaps Extrakun's excellent recent work on Khitai (on the DW Wiki) might inspire somebody to tackle Yamato... :)
