I'm preparing to run a game set in the Mycenaean age (c. 1400-1500 BCE, I'm looking for something well before the Trojan War) and am looking for info on game stats for Mycenaean armor. Page 14 shows Achilles wearing Mycenaean armor similar to what was found in archeological digs (see link here http://www.mlahanas.de/Greeks/war/Armor.htm ).
While the rulebook states that “the armor detailed hero is that which would be available to a hero in the mythic age or to a warrior or noble warrior in the historical era” it also list each of the types of Greek armor it provides stats on as not being available until well after the Mycenaean age. Bronze Plate Corselet is from the sixth & fifth centuries BCE, Bronze Scale Girdle is from the Macedonian era (338-323 BCE) and shaped Bronze Plate is contemporary with the development of Bronze Scale Girdle.
Has anyone worked up game stats for Mycenaean armor? Any information would be appreciated.
