Question on Mycenaean armor

I'm preparing to run a game set in the Mycenaean age (c. 1400-1500 BCE, I'm looking for something well before the Trojan War) and am looking for info on game stats for Mycenaean armor. Page 14 shows Achilles wearing Mycenaean armor similar to what was found in archeological digs (see link here http://www.mlahanas.de/Greeks/war/Armor.htm ).

While the rulebook states that “the armor detailed hero is that which would be available to a hero in the mythic age or to a warrior or noble warrior in the historical era” it also list each of the types of Greek armor it provides stats on as not being available until well after the Mycenaean age. Bronze Plate Corselet is from the sixth & fifth centuries BCE, Bronze Scale Girdle is from the Macedonian era (338-323 BCE) and shaped Bronze Plate is contemporary with the development of Bronze Scale Girdle.

Has anyone worked up game stats for Mycenaean armor? Any information would be appreciated.

Disclaimer: I have not worked up stats for Mycenaean armor. However, I reckon armor from this age is outclassed significantly by Homeric stuff. The exception would probably be with shields, which strike me as not being as complex as jointed, ring, or scale armor.

From the link you posted, it sounds like the head was protected by a leather cap with ivory woven into it, eh? The body armor looks extremely bulky, so I'd suspect their infantry armor is light and, therefore, not very effective.

Actually they have stats for the helm (boar's tooth helmet) and the shield (figure-of-eight shield). The only hole in the information is the body armor.

I may just say it's about the equivalent of Assyrian scale and let it go at that. It'll have good coverage (as it should!) but otherwise be less effective than the Greek armor of the classical period. This, however, makes sense as it's from a time nearly 1,000 years earlier. I was just hoping that someone else had done the research and came up with good stats for the stuff.

Detailed informations both based on archaeological fonts and Homer description about the Mycenaean weaponry (included armour and corselet) are present in this web site:
