Question: Background Skills

Are 'background skills' forever treated as class skills or not?

I am aware that everyone receives 2 ranks in them whether they are class- or cross class skills but after that, how do you treat them?

The Atlantean edition is a little vague on the subject but when I acquired recently 'Aquilonia - Flower of the West', I discovered in the various races' chapter that background skills apparently automatically become class skills.

Note that it doesn't disturb me if it is so, I just wish to make sure.

For an Aquilonian, any skill assigned to the Adaptability ability of the Hyborians become permanent class skills. Background skills do not necessarily become so.

There is a feat in Shadizar - City of Wickedness called Racial Archetype which makes Background Skills permanent class skills no matter what class you take.
