Question about Shadows and Dogfights

I had one small question. What exactly do the Shadow fighters do in a dogfight. I thought that the Shadows do not have a Crew Quality score so I figured it would only go by the dogfight score added to the roll. I figured in a small battle that my fighters would not be able to dog fight so I decided to keep them far away from the other fighters but constantly attacking the larger ships.

Is this a good strategy?

er Die horribly

They are rubbish at dogfights as befits a race that thrives on conflict and has evolved as such of millions of years

If you can keep them after ships and avoid fighters they are OK bombers I suppose.........

Shadows do have CQ scores. They use it to avoid telepathic disruption, avoid being rammed and stop being turned by gravitic shifters. Hence their fighters can dogfight.

Fighters have CQ 4 barring any racial modifiers.

Can't think of any for the Shadows off the top of my head at the mo, so 4 it is.

LBH

LBH is correct off the top of his head. Shadows generally have Flight Computers but that's the only 'bonus' to CQ they get.

They get tweaked but still not quite sure exactly how the tweak actually affects the new fighter defenses and whether the tweak in any way affects dogfights.

Don't think so - doesn't work against dogfights or AF?
