From the sounds of things, yes. Indeed if the CULTS threads are anything to go by, you'll get a copy before the author or the distributors, never mind the local stores...

Me, I just wish that Mongoose had proper release dates when books were actually available, rather than have people discussing them here months before they get to the shops...

Unfortunately, this is more a problem with the distribution system than anything else. I know many publishers run into problems with release dates because the system just doesn't work as well as it should.

It also has the (not undesireable) side effect of rewarding customers who pre-order directly from Mongoose, since that is their biggest profit margin.

If you want a book fast, order from Mongoose. If you want it cheap, order from Amazon or somesuch and wait (or wait for the PDF).

Me, I support my local FLGS, so I get the best of both worlds: I pay full price AND get to wait! Typically it takes 1-2 weeks after the official release for me to get a book.
