Prototype Minbari colours

First attempt at painting Minbari... not sure how it's going to translate to the flatter ships like Morshins and old-school Troligans, but I'll think of something :)

Painting steps: (GW paints used)

1) White undercoat
2) Ice Blue all over
3) Enchanted Blue for the stripes, aiming for a wedge shape pointing towards the rear of the fins and the middle of the body
4) Wash of Asurmen Blue all over
5) Details in Codex Grey

As usual the ship is magnetised onto its stand for easy transport. Haven't thought up names for the Minbari ships yet though.

Nice work, especially since that appears to be a Fleet Action size Tigara - very nice work getting the stripes on something that small!

For names, there's a Minbari dictionary on line here: http://www.jumpnow.de/dic/index.php

Thanks for the link :)

It is indeed FA-scale, I've got a Morshin and a Sharlin lined up next. Pics will follow... It feels like a big mini after painting 8 FA-scale White Stars... *goes cross-eyed*

Nice work indeed.

Like the Sharlin a lot, particularly the fine, (FA Scale after all), and perfect, evenly spaced stripes.

As far as I am concerned the more invisible the Morshin becomes the better, not your painting, the mini design  & in that respect FA scale over std is a very good start.

Very well done.

Agreed 100%. The Morshin design looks as though it was not so much built as excreted, so making it look good is impossible, but full marks for trying anyway. :) The Sharlin, on the other hand, looks superb! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with a Troligan, especially since I prefer the appearance of the older design to the newer one.
